The spring was not going as planned. Only one of his boys impregnanted a mare (here's hoping for a boy) and he had found his mother and Macabre, but failed in bringing them back to the Lagoon. At least he had won a battle against the Peak, but the captive mare has yet to grace him with her prescence. Maybe the mare has gotten lost along the way. He sighs as he shakes the sea water off his golden coat. Today, Cullen has traveled to the common area to take a swim and look for new members to grow his band of bachelors.
He would take a lone mare or two if he came across one just for the sanity of his fellow bachelors that required female attention. He felt lucky as his eyes lift to his surroundings and finds a mare not far ahead. He doesn't see the stallion at first because he is focused on the strange mane the mare sports. He walks in their direction, the male soon becoming apparent, and his muscles clenching in reaction. Maybe he wasn't so lucky, but perhaps the battle skills he has acquired over the years would guide him through this obstacle.
He walks up to the mare and places a swift nip on her shoulder.
"I claim you for my men in the Lagoon." His blue eyes lift to the stallion that lingered near by.
"Unless this stallion already owns you, but I don't see your belly swollen with his seed." It was odd to see a young couple without a baby, but he could be right in his guess that this mare was free to a good home. He would show her a place that will shower her with attention.
