Forster's Tern et al. at Minet's Point

I found a Forster's Tern at Barrie's Minet's Point Park on Thursday (17 October 2019) and, what was likely the same bird, was found again today (19th).

Pacific Loon(s) are becoming more regularly seen along Kempenfelt Bay, including from Minet's Point. One just has to find the large (500+), swimming raft of Common Loons and scan them repeateldy (a scope is often needed).

The last two weeks of October are when the Barrie waterfront has been visited by jaegers and kittiwakes, so try to get out if you can.

Finally, I have put together a Simcoe County Rare Bird Alert on WhatsApp. Text me if you'd like to join - 705-718-1256
