The spotted mare scolds him and he sighs, nodding at her words. Maybe he did need to learn how to be more tough. If he was more tough he might still have Tavas.

She doesn't make him angry enough to go off like Wasp had when they first met. He was sure this mare wouls be trouble eventually, but for now he finally had some company to focus on after his recent loss. "My herd is new so there is no lead mare if that is what you were wondering." Maybe having a blunt lead mare would be good for him. He could try it, but his heart says he wanted love not strength. That was not how he was taught to judge the role of a lead mare. It went to a strong mare who could benefit the herd.

For now, he decides it was time to escort her home. "I'll show you there Nampeyo." He probably butcheted her name saying it out loud. The champagne stallion turns and leads the spotted mare into the sea and towards Tinuvel.
