Hi everyone! We're super pleased to see that TLI is so active right now. However, the increased activity has brought some loopholes to our attention, and old rules regarding battles that we previously had not enforced due to the lack of activity. Now that activity is so high, we feel that we need to address these to accommodate it, to ensure that the loopholes are filled and battles remain as fair as possible for everyone.
Therefore we are reinstating two old battle rules:
1) Challengers may no longer choose the battle format - instead, there will be a system of high stakes and low stakes battles. High stakes battles are battles whether either territories or more than one thing/mature herd member are at stake, and must be roleplayed out unless both players consent to a dice roll battle. Low-stakes battles are where only one mature herd member/thing (excluding territories, but including practice/bragging rights) is at stake, and their default format is dice roll, unless both players agree to roleplay it out. This will be enforced starting now.
2) Dice roll battles for practice/bragging rights are still unlimited, but, starting next month, we are lowering the number that count toward experience to 1. This is so characters are not leveling up in rank too quickly, as the ranks are intended to be take some time and effort to level up in. We are delaying enforcing this until next month, however, due to the fact that multiple players have already benefited from the current limit of 3 a month. In the interest of fairness, we will continue to allow players to take advantage of this until the end of the month.
