Nothing he did or said seemed to surprise the older mare. She was either very good at hiding her emotions or this was all going exactly the way she had predicted. Maybe she knew Solaris better than he thought. Maybe their time apart didn't make them very different, or maybe she just understood what motivated most mares. When he told her that Solaris didn't talk much about her family, the mare shifted around, her expression almost disappointed, like she expected something different from her daughter on that one. He ducked his head a little, as if he felt bad because she didn't like what he said. He couldn't change Solaris' actions, of course, or her lack of family talk, but he didn't know what to expect from this mare if she got pissed off, either. When he changed the subject to the colt at her side, she promptly told him that the mother had to go home so she took the colt to keep him close to his sire. Angel offered a small smile, his ears flicking back and forth, still a little uncertain of her, but he wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt. "Ah. Well, that was very nice of you. I'm sure they both appreciate that." He smiled warmly at the colt, wondering if some day he'd ever have a son as well. Not that he minded having a daughter. He wouldn't trade Galexia for anything. He just wondered to himself if the mother was really so willing to give up her son. Surely Solaris wouldn't just up and leave Galexia like that. No, but she would leave you in a heart beat. His skin shivered at the thought. Scowling thoughtfully for a moment, he shook his head and offered her a sheepish smile. "I'm sorry, I just realized I never gave my name. I'm Angel."
