As Eldrax moved to join me, a look of joy and inspiration spreading wide across his features, I was moved to think about my family. The branches of Boneclaw and Thunderbone's family tree had grown far and wide, my relatives spread across Moladion and beyond its borders. There were likely wolves whom I was related to that I'd never had the opportunity to meet. Though I knew Eldrax, I didn't truly know him, and that caused a strange feeling to settle in my chest. A thought bubbled into light within my mind - how grand would it be to call the descendants of the mountain home? A family reunion of sorts. A chance to reunite with siblings that had gone their own way in life, and perhaps meet cousins one might have only heard the name of in passing conversations. The idea was fleeting as it passed through my mind, and my tail beat happily against the stone upon which I lay - both excited for the possibility, and happy at my nephew's company.

When I asked how Eldrax was doing, there was a moment of hesitation before he responded. My head tilted ever so slightly, curious what he might have to say. It was then that he announced his boredom, and his interest in what he might be able to do for the pack. The corners of my lips quirked in a small smile. I thought for a moment, considering the wolf who sat beside me. All that I knew of him came from observation, and of course the fact that he was my brother's son. Rhaegal and Bastille had been quite the troublemakers in their youth, mischievous but always with good hearts. But I wondered what aspirations their son might have.

"There are many duties within the pack that need tending to - it all depends on what you would like to do." I didn't want to put too much pressure on the boy, but he was quickly approaching adulthood, and if he sought to earn a rank within The Nest I would gladly help him in whatever way he needed. But I wasn't sure if his ambition reached that high. Still, he held a desire to help the pack. So it was my duty to help him in turn. And then I remembered something, a class that Moonfeather had held for the youth of the pack, and her report that Eldrax had been her only student that day. "What do you think of healing and caretaking?" Perhaps he had liked it, perhaps it wasn't quite what he sought. After all, one lesson did not lock him into a track of learning. Maybe I needed to seek out more tutors for him, so that he could try other avenues of intent. But I waited patiently, listening to whatever insight he might have on his personal desires for the future.
