Björn where innocence is burned in flames
The silence between them widens as Rougaru contemplates what he should do. Björn can see indecision etched in his face as his brow furrows and chews his lower lip. It seems, for atleast this moment, time is frozen. He can hear the soft murmur of the insects within the jungle, the insitent caw of the parrots and crash of the waves against the rocks further down the sandy beach. Björn's thick ears rotate forward as Rougaru says his first words, murmuring about how brothers in arms are best tied in blood. Björn nods his thick skull in agreement with him as he speaks. Glacial eyes shift to Nya as she stands impatiently waiting as her father dramatically draws out his decision.
Rougaru's next sentence peaks his attention as he lays out what he has been contemplating. I will give her to you, but there is a condition. Björn can feel his lips turn up, there is always a condition. Nothing in this life comes for free, there is always a price. I remain King of Atlantis, and you provide me with a daughter The conditions hang in the air for a moment. Björn's glacial eyes pass to Nya, watching her face to see how she would react to her father deciding her fate, just like that. He is pleased to see that she does not grimace, but he can see her excitedly shifting her hooves in the sands.
"I will accept your terms as they seem fair. When the filly is of age I will send her to you in Paradise," he says with a nod.
His eyes shift to Nya once again, he can not help but notice that there is a glint of excitement behind her emerald eyes. He knew there was still much to learn about Nya, and Rougaru. Time would tell if their alliance would be strong enough to withstand what Warsaw was planning.
