It is interesting. And we need more info like that. The time has tolled, I suppose.

There was also another similar article explaining a similar situation. Also stemming from Orlando Jai Alai glory days, even before I was going. Seems a top player was enjoying huge success in serving over the head aces in singles...sometimes a perfect game with it, evidently. One night, Said decided to stand at the overserve line during singles to receive the serve, meaning he had to cut it off or else. He did, and won the point. Shortly after that, either a rule was written, that was never noted in the Jai alai rules, or a management rule was instilled to discourage standing beyond the serving area in singles, or else.
