Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

LOKI

Though she may not know the wolf who lied before her, he had expected more than what she was showing. From what he'd seen, most wolves looked sad if they saw a dead wolf and when they saw the wolf who killed him or her, they would then look angry and sometimes attack. But she did neither. She looked interested, just not for the reasons he would have expected. She kept looking at him even more than she looked at the body, her intense gaze trying to read him like a book. Too bad he wasn't that easy of a read. It's hard to know what someone's thinking when they don't feel emotion enough to show it. She seemed cautious with him but not scared. He couldn't smell the first ounce of fear in her perfume. He knew there were wolves in Moladian that ate other wolves. Perhaps she was one of those? Most wolves would probably defend their kills, keep others from poaching them, but he wasn't used to eating the wolves he killed. He just did it for survival sometimes.

When he said that he showed mercy, she seemed more intrigued, if anything. Even as she spoke, he noticed her creeping ever closer to the body. It wasn't like Harker was a small wolf so she wouldn't be able to pick him up and leave in a hurry. Loki held his ground for now, simply watching her little charade. Something told him he wasn't the only puppeteer in this scenario. She said that it was a pity but again, she didn't look sad. She asked if the wolf was sick and that it was probably something he wouldn't want to be near. He tilted his head, watching her while he calculated. It sounded like she was trying to talk him into leaving her with the body or at least leaving it, one way or another. Did she want to eat it? He tried to figure her out. As she took a deep sniff of the corpse, he watched and waited, his tail giving a little twitch as she then asked what illness he thought Harker might have had. He rolled his shoulders in a shrug.

"I believe it was a malady of the brain. He wasn't very bright." Maybe some didn't consider that an illness, but Loki thought he was far too annoying for his own good. As she stopped on the other side of the wolf, she asked what he would like to do with the body. He blinked and glanced down at it, studying Harker's mutilated corpse. He hadn't thought about that. He could just leave it for the scavengers, but he was beginning to think she might have a better idea. She asked if he wished to bury it and he shook his head. "Too much work." Maybe that came off as lazy but he knew he didn't feel like digging a deep hole for a wolf he didn't much care for. As she moved ever closer to the body, he went back to watching her. She made it seem obvious that she was interested in the body but what if it was all a trick and really she was here to kill him? He wasn't sure he could trust her.

"What do you suggest?" He found himself asking, tilting his head as he studied her expression.
