It was weird, trying to follow the lead of a wolf who couldn't just guide him with her voice. Though he pretended to know exactly what he was doing, he still paid close attention to the young female with him, watching her every move and adjustment and doing the same in turn. The logs shifted beneath their paws and he knew at any moment, the water could wash them out from under them. He swallowed and moved a little faster, though cautious to keep his center of gravity low. He wasn't thinking in the moment if his mother Zarah would miss him and come looking for him. He knew without a doubt that she was either watching even now from the shadows or she would be after him shortly. She was always good about being there even when she didn't make herself known. Maybe that's why she was a ranked spy for Diveen. As he leapt off the bridge, he heard something shift and his head snapped around, eyes widening in instant regret as the bridge started to move more beneath the girl's paws.
"Hang on!" He yelled without thinking, turning back to the bridge and readying himself....but to do what exactly. He knew if he tried to play hero and jump back on the bridge, he might just shift it more and make sure both of them ended up in the water. As she lowered herself to the bridge and fear danced across her features, he inhaled sharply and his haunches bunched beneath him. All he knew as that she'd come to get him and he couldn't forgive himself if she ended up in the water because of it. Finally the logs seemed to settle and just when he was about to tell her to move, the girl launched herself forward and onto the sands of Glorall. She straightened up and he let out the breath he was holding, relief flooding his own features as she lifted her head and pride shown in her eyes. He couldn't help the smirk tugging at his own lips as he watched her. Maybe he wasn't the only arrogant one around here.
When she looked at him with a sheepish grin, he rolled his shoulders in a shrug. "We made it." He made it sound like it was no big deal but his eyes twinkled with triumph at their accomplishment. When he said that it wasn't too bad, she shrugged herself and raised a brow and he huffed in response. What? She didn't think he did that good? She had a grin on her face that taunted him but he brushed it off with an answering smirk of his own. At least then she winked and wagged her tail and he wagged his own tail in return. As she got closer though, he jerked back and his ears flicked back uncertainly. "Um...okay..." She seemed to be searching him for something. He held his ground but gave her a questioning look. Did she think he was injured or something? "I'm okay, promise." He said with a smirk, watching as she sighed and sat down. But then her face changed and her gaze grew intense, making his tail slow in its wagging as his brow furrowed in question.
As she gestured to the bridge then tilted her head at him as if expectantly awaiting an answer, he shrugged and rolled his eyes. "What? It looked like you said it was safe so I decided to try it out." He didn't know if he was answering right but she certainly seemed to be scolding him about the bridge. It was a good guess anyway. He didn't really turn his attention back to the adult male and the other pup with them until the male spoke, saying that it wasn't bad for any wolf. Cassiel gave him a thousand watt grin and his tail thumped the ground in approval. Then he gave the girl before him a look as if to say "See? Someone appreciates my effort." He glanced back up at the adult as he introduced them, giving his savior's name as Badar and calling himself Eden. The name wasn't familiar to Cass, though he hadn't asked about the other packs or Alphas. He shrugged. "What's a fortitude? I'm Cassiel." He figured they'd want his name too.
