Devil's gonna get you if I don't first

OOC: If anyone wants to make a reply they can, but I feel we should close this up to catch up any loose ends before the war.

He was proud to look around and find friends from all over the islands. Tinuvel, Atlantis, and the Lagoon were all on his side. He felt confident in their strength and will to win this war, so much so, that he didn't lose an ounce of sleep over it. Luthien would soon feel their mighty hooves.

Rougaru's words ring true over his grey ears. There were more and more mares stepping up to lead herds and take lands for themselves. It was frustrating every time he happened upon another of these lead mares, but as long as his alliance stood strong they would be able to shove back any female who decides to try the leadership rule. They would knock them all back to being a lead mare under her King stallion. If they wanted to be leaders so bad they could go to the Peak or join a herd and become a lead mare next to her mated lead stallion. Warsaw had no problem with appointed lead mares who helped with the herd and controlled the mares. Vita Nova was his and she would always have the opportunity with him. He didn't know if Rougaru or Bjorn had them a leading lady, but he knew they would with some time for their herds to grow.

Words begin to form in his brain, but Bjorn speaks up next. He states something Warsaw was thinking, lead mares risk the life of their unborn foals should they become pregnant. Warsaw nods but almost gasps when Bjorn reveals he has bred with the Dunes mare. For now, he believes the stallion did it for tactical purposes and he hopes he was right. "Great work Bjorn." He hopes his praise of the Icelandic stallion continues to drive him down the right path. Cullen speaks up and pledges his allegiance, which was no surprise to Warsaw. His attention turns back to the group as a whole, eyes passing to each one of them. "Herds are set up to have a leading mare who stands beside her leading stallion. The stallion has the ultimate control, but the leading mare helps keep control of the mares below her and deals with helping them find food and water, protecting them, while their stallion is out watching the borders and gaining more members. That is how it is supposed to be, but these mares keep wanting to change the rules. They want to make us obsolete, get rid of us."

"They are trying to show us they don't need us, but mares are not meant for the main leading role. Mares have to become pregnant to keep the population, but they can't protect a herd and be heavy with child. It is unnatural and dangerous for the young they carry." His head raises high as he speaks and his voice projects across his gathering of stallions. He needs them to understand why they were fighting and what their victory would mean. "Some of your mares may be in foal at the time of the war so you should suggest they stay behind. The mares will be weaker in spring and there are sure to be some stallions that will stand with the Forest." He thinks of his mares as he says this. He would have to convince Vita Nova to stay behind as she carries their royalty in her womb and for the fact that her family may be on the other side in this war.

"Nature has told us what our roles are and these mares are defying nature. The Peak is one thing, but mares taking over our lands is not feasible. They have to learn their rightful place in this world and if they refuse, we will make them." Warsaw throws down his right forehoof in protest. "More and more mares are stepping up. Honestly, it feels like one does it then more follow suit. They all think they are capable now." He snorts, but just as his words disappear into the air a mare comes stampeding towards the group. Her shrill call hurts his ears and starts a fire in his belly. He was already riled up with the war talk, but now their meeting was being interrupted by a mare out of place. It seems fitting as they were talking already talking about mares overstepping their bounds.

The buckskin splash positions herself near Bjorn in a protective manner. She glares at them like they have done something horrible to her 'man'. The grey Andalusian chuckles and the fire in his belly subsides. He finds the mare more funny than threatening. Warsaw just stares at her and waits for the outburst to be over. He knows if he stands his ground she would back down. No mare was foolish enough to fight all these strong stallions gathered together. Silence flows between them and eventually he begins to notice the difference in the mare. She shrinks, her legs shake, she was realizing what she was doing to herself. Whatever was between this mare and Bjorn, he had a troublesome one there. "Well then..." He says, trailing off with a snort. "We will wrap this up so you all can get back to your herds." Dark mochas watch Bjorn before he turns to Cullen.

"Cullen, if any of your stallions do not wish to fight it, it would be helpful to send one to each of our islands to help protect the mares and foals we leave behind. I think each of us can fight easier knowing everything is alright back at home." He glances around the group. "I will disperse this gathering so that we don't grab too much attention standing here together. Use this Winter to prepare yourselves and your herds. When Springtime comes, wait for my direction. I will send a message to tell you all the time has come. Bring your fighters and we will meet together in Tunivel then make the swim to Luthien. After that, history will write itself." A large grins spread across his grey lips. He allows for any last-minute responses before he turns to enter the sea and swim back to Tinuvel.
