bite me

With every scream from Rougaru's lips, Cain's blood only boiled that much more with excitement. Battle was the only thing he knew. Survival was dependent on it for most of his life and he understood it. He know how to make others bleed and he was a pro at bleeding himself. Rougaru said that he would be done when Cain scampered back to the desert without Leonid, to which Cain chuckled, his lips tugging into a grin. "Well, scampering's not really my style and I'm not going anywhere without her, so I'd say we're at an empasse." When Rougaru lunged for his skin again, Cain threw his head but braced himself and held his ground, his body trembling as the stallion's teeth pinched his skin and drew more blood. He grunted at the pain but didn't move, not giving an inch.

Instead he snaked his own head out, jaws parted to go for Rougaru's chest or neck for a bite of his own. He would latch on if the other didn't dodge and jerk his head like a dog, aiming to rip and tear the flesh before he pulled back, trying to get a chunk of meat out of the deal. As Rougaru pulled back and started to circle, Cain kept one ear on him as his brows furrowed in a glare. He positioned himself between Leonid and the other stallion while not getting in her space, not leaving an opening in case Rougaru tried to be sneaky and herd her away. The stallion said that he'd been called worse but that the fleas were coming off Cain. He gave his own chuckle and shook his head. "You give me too much credit, Rougaru. My skin is too thick for fleas to bite on so they don't waste their time with me. You, on the other hoof, probably taste much sweeter." He grinned, eying the other teasingly.

He snorted as the stallion responded to Leonid then, flattering her about her name and then using that serpent's tongue again. Cain could only roll his eyes. Maybe he'd have something to learn from this stallion, cause he wasn't deceived but Leonid sure as hell was. He saw the instant anger flashed in Rougaru's eyes and as the stallion tightened his circle and came at Cain, he moved forward as well to meet him, knowing the tactic of a bully very well. He met the stallion shoulder to shoulder, knowing they were pretty evenly matched. As the stallion went for Cain's neck and shoulder, he purred through each point of contact while he aimed his own teeth at Rougaru's withers and neck, trying to bite and rip out mane as he could. At the stallion's voice, he chuckled. "Still you, unfotunately. What can I say? I'm not good with manners."

His attention turned back on the mare as she thanked Rougaru before glaring at Cain. He snorted but held his ground. He was used to mare's not liking his approach but they sure as hell wouldn't mind it if it was in their defense. He wouldn't feel ashamed for wanting something and taking it. That was who he was. That was a dream that was kept from him for too long and now he would take it by the horns. As Leonid moved to head to the Desert, he gave one last warning look to Rougaru before following after her. He gave her space and let her lead unless she ever hesitated or acted like she wasn't sure where to go. Only then would he nudge his head in the right direction or make to go that way so she would figure it out. Besides that, he pretty much let her pick the pace and do as she pleased along the way.
