Geneva was dozing when she felt it, the time to bring Cain and her's little prince or princess into the world. She glanced around at the other mares before moving off to the one and only cave she had been shown to. It was dark out and she didn't want to give birth out in the open. She was nervous and excited to bring this little one into the world and it wasn't long before he was there and she was grooming him off.You will be called Legolas my sonShe said now nudging him to his feet. She watched him clumsily get up and fall back down and kept at it. He would be strong indeed, a fighter and not one to give up. Finally she feels his little head nudging her stomach and then nursing. She watches the entrance to the place and when the sun begins to rise she decides its time to bring him out to meet the herd.

She nickers to him and then heads out into the desert that will now be warming up. One ear was always on Legolas as she walked nickering to the herd to announce his arrival. She held herself proudly as she comes to a halt now not wanting him to have to walk too far on his first day in the world.

Legolas got up but fell down a few times till he finally got his legs under him and got to nurse off his mother. But not long after she was moving and he was following her staring hard at the ground as he focused on staying upright.
