Cain was silent, but she was unsure if that was a good thing. He could just be letting them meet each other and giving them time to talk or he could be plotting something. Primrose didn't know because honestly, she did not know this herd. Cain was just beginning his band of mares and each one he brought in was another face she had stirred clear from. Geneva speaks again, but her words were friendly. Prim was able to relax a bit, at least enough to answer her. "I have been here since the start, but I have been too shy to say hello." She says a small lie.

I mean it wasn't completely untrue, but not the real reason she had stayed away. "I hope I can get to know you better in time, Geneva." She gives the large mare a smile and a small bow of her head. It was obvious she was below this mare, whatever her ranking was. Cain seems so comfortable next to her and for the first time, Primrose felt something strange in her gut. Was this jealousy?
