He did not care if Adelia got herself free of this place, but he did care about what would happen to Zafar. He wants the chance to raise his son, his firstborn, and if Adelia somehow didn't allow him to he would be very unhappy. He likes Adelia, but she was also the first mare who has ever given him the time of day. He wonders if his kindness will allow him to get this close to other mares, but he was only just beginning to build up his confidence. Right now he would be focusing on Zafar because he doesn't know how long the colt will be staying here. If Adelia doesn't like the Lagoon as much as she says, he assumes she will not want Zafar growing up here. This thought makes Augustine sad because he grew up here and he was still kind.

He smiles as Adelia wakes up the grullo colt and introduces him. Zafar stands up in which Augustine watches him with pride. He didn't realize foals just came out knowing how to stand. Maybe Adelia had taught him before he arrived, but it still was pretty cool a newborn could move as Zafar could. The colt approaches his father with his muzzle reaching out to greet him. The largest smile Augustine has ever felt cross his lips was there. He reaches out to meet his son halfway. "It is great to finally meet you, Zafar." He says with a slight Spanish accent. "I am your padre little príncipe." He calls his son a prince. To him, Zafar was his little prince.

His gaze turns towards Adelia. "How are you feeling bonita?" He makes sure he shows concern for the mother of his child. His padre had taught him to always respect the mother.
