Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

*~My Next Collison Course~*

He hoped he was helping her calm down. He'd hate to think she was scared or suspicious of him cause that's not how he wanted her to feel. He wanted her to trust him, to know he wouldn't do anything to harm her. More than that, he wanted her to feel safe for once, since she seemed to need that the most, at least for a little while. When she looked into his eyes, he felt vulnerable, like he'd found a kindred spirit. Maybe he didn't go through the same kind of trauma she did, but he'd had his own kind of trauma, losing his herd, his future mate, his best friend/brother. Not by death but betrayal. It still caused a sort of grief. The mare said she didn't want to be alone and Collision shook his head slowly. "You don't have to be, not if you don't want to." He wanted her to feel in control for once, to know she can still make these kinds of decisions, decide if someone stayed or left. Since it seemed she'd been left already by everyone she wanted to keep by her side.

She said they would have done anything for her and he could only assume she meant the bachleor herd she was with. He nodded with an understanding smile. "I'm sure they would have. It sounds like they really accepted you, like an asset to the herd." He figured it was good that she wanted to talk about them. That should help her grieve, instead of holding it all in. He hoped he could help with that, give her a listening ear. She laughed then and said a stallion's name, Baako. He promised her the stars. Collision smiled a little more, his eyes soft. "He probably would have done everything he could to give them to you, too." She sobered up a little but he still saw hope in her eyes. That was good; it meant she wasn't giving up. She was grieving their loss in a natural healthy way.

She shook her head then, saying that she needed a safe place to stay until she had the child she carried. Collision looked around, unsure if he could do that or not, but as far as he knew, anyone could bring a mare to the herd. He got a more determined look in his eye as he nodded to her. "You can stay here as long as you like. I'll keep you and the child safe." He promised. Maybe he couldn't overrule Cullen but he could say the mare was under his protection and that should keep the other stallions at bay. She needed to feel safe. He could do that for her. He wondered vaguely whose child it was she carried but if she didn't want to tell him, he wouldn't pressure her. He might not know the father anyway. He didn't know every stallion here in the herd.

The mare gave her name as Shenzi and he bowed his head respectfully. "An honor to meet you, Shenzi." Then she asked if he would stay nearby and the tobiano stallion snorted softly and nodded with a reassuring smile. "Of course. I'll be right here, watching over you. I won't leave you." He promised. She looked like she could do with a good rest. She looked exhausted. It was the least he could do.
