Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Cassiel
reporter coming through

He didn't know what exactly he would have done if she'd gone into the water or something but he would hope he didn't just freeze or something stupid like that. He needed to be HEROIC. What else could he be? Anything else would be lame. The male pup noticed the look the female shot the adult male at one point, as if warning him from doing anything and that made him hesitate a little. Did she not want to be saved, or just not by him? Was that her father? He would hope she wouldn't just glare at any adult. His mother Zarah had taught him against such bad manners himself. Once Cass was safely on the Glorall soil, the female pup wanted to look him over and he couldn't help but smirk. Was she that concerned? He noticed early on that she wasn't one to speak, really, at all. She didn't even seem to make noise. It was odd but he was trying to work around it. They could still find ways to communicate, right? He wouldn't give up that easily.

The female grinned a lot and Cass took that as a good sign. He had to be doing something right, right? She then, of course, scolded him for going on the bridge. Women, right? When he gave his answer, she actually laughed though. Well, sort of. She made all the mouth movements like she was laughing and he swore he actually heard a sound from her, but it still wasn't a normal laugh sound. Okay, so not able to talk or really make noises, check. Then she bowed her head as if apologizing for something and he tilted his head, ears flicking uncertainly. Was it because he thought she said it was ok to get on the bridge? He rolled his shoulders in a shrug, not wanting her to blame herself. "It's no big. No one got hurt, right" He tried to lighten the mood, hoping the adult male wouldn't think he was just blowing it off. He knew adults liked to think you learned a lesson from your experience so he needed to look contrite as well. He tried his best.

When the female pup lowered her head again, it didn't seem like an apology this time. He lifted a brow in question. "Now, what's that about? You don't owe me anything or anything." Maybe that was just a guess in the dark but he would figure it out by her reaction. He then turned to the adult, who gave their names and said he was a Fortitude. Well, Cass had no idea what that meant. Even Badar looked like she was smirking as she looked at Eden. When she nudged him, Cass gave her a questioning look but the smirk was contagious. She wasn't upset or anything so he took it as a good sign. Even Eden didn't seem that upset about him having jumped up on the bridge. He only shook his head and smirked. Cass tilted his head more but left it at that. He didn't want to push his luck after all. Then the adult gave his answer and Cass' eyes widened in shock. The alpha?! He sputtered a little and cleared his throat, straightening up before bowing his head dramatically. "Sorry! Didn't know, sir. Do I call you sir? Mr. Fortitude? Alpha sir?" The titles sputtered out of him, suddenly at a loss for what to say. What do you say to a leader?

He didn't get the chance yet to meet the Diveen leader so this was his first encounter with a leader. It was a big deal to him. He couldn't wait to tell his mother about it! Then the male lowered his head and asked what a Cassiel is and Cass couldn't help but laugh. "My name, silly! I mean, Mr. Fortitude, Alpha, sir." He ducked his head a little as he stuttered out the words. "I'm, uh, from Diveen. My mother is Zarah, daughter of Achilles and Vega." He tried to stand a little straighter as he gave his credentials. He was quite proud of the blood that flowed through his veins, blood that belonged to Angels and seers and legends of Moladian. He knew a lot of his mother's history, not so much on his mystery father. Oh well. As Eden lifted a brow and asked what he was, Cass shook his head vigorously.

"None of the above! Or rather, none but the pack-wolf one. Um, well, I could become a friend. This is how they are made, right?" He tried for a sheepish smirk as he looked from Badar to Eden, his eyes unsure though as he waited to see where this conversation would lead.
