Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Mihos was the last wolf Rana had expected. In fact, she hadn't even considered that her brother would follow her out - or that he'd be sent out after her. From the moment they had opened their eyes, they had known Mihos' were different. While they floundered in the dark, he seemed to flounder in the light of day. Rana, of course, had seen his difference as an invaluable thing, but she had also quietly found excitement in having one less sibling to worry about taking her limelight. Mihos could have the night, and she'd take the day.

But he'd come out, and he didn't seem pleased about it. She'd heard him coming, or at least heard a somebody coming, and yet she hadn't turned around. Instead, she merely turned a single ear back to listen to their approach while she grinned smugly to herself, proud that her call of claiming had summoned somebody to attention. Only when he spoke did both her ears flatten back against her head. She waited a moment, huffed, and then pivoted to face him, looking down at him from her stone podium.

"Let them come then, brother!" She declared, chest puffed and standing as tall as she could. "I'm expanding our territory's borders, can't you see? These fields ought to have been ours from the beginning." She motioned around to the vast grassland - or, what was grassland beneath the snow - with an all too-proud smirk. Mihos, she thought, likely couldn't see the beauty of it at all quite yet, but perhaps she'd have him stay until darkness so that he might understand better. It was theirs now, so there'd be no harm in it.

"Didn't you come to see what I had claimed?" She asked after a moment of thought, eyeing him suspiciously as she lowered herself closer to his level and watched him through narrowed eyes. Surely, he hadn't been sent - but then again, why would he have come during the day? Did his eyes not bother him anymore?
