Arturio had began his rounds early. He started towards the southern border, quietly hopeful he might spy one of Eden and Nari's They were all grown now, certainly not the children he had seen that day. He did often wonder how they were doing, even told himself on a semi-regular basis he needed to be more present, if not for them, at least for Nari. But there were no stirrings to the south. So, he gradually followed the lower trails, hidden among the shadows of the plateaus that made up the bulk of Diveen. His path trailed east for a time before they gradually edged north.
North. There were still memories there, to include a physical one in the ear that was nearly completely gone. Thankfully, it had not caused any permanent hearing loss, but it was occasionally difficult to pick up sounds on that side. He padded along comfortably. Arturio would pause on occasion to make more stale places or to examine a rustling in the brush. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary today. At least, that was what he thought until he followed the borders westward.
Here, his faceted emerald gaze could see the plains with ease. There was no ill-will held. Something more of... The Thunder King could not quite find the word. Perhaps a bit of benign neglect, almost, towards Asteraia. The plains left the plateaus alone, and the reverse was reciprocated. It seemed better that way, regardless of how he felt about what many of those to the north were. He simply shook his head slightly to himself and kept on his way. It was quiet, save for the young animals that scurried about and hid in his wake. Gentle as a beast Arturio was, he was still a generally imposing figure if one knew nothing of his temperament.
Arturio almost failed to notice Bastet in the distance. Almost. It was her own brief hesitation that had caught his eye. The alabaster male tilted his head, more curious than anything today. There was no denying who she was as the wind blew her scent this way, but she did not look like she wanted to cause trouble. He tilted his head to the opposite side, even more curious now. What would a young daughter of the plains be interested in within the borders of Diveen. A soft hmmm escaped him as he padded towards the curious Bastet.
Even from afar, he could tell she knew she did not belong. But she had yet to cause trouble. Arturio continued to observe her, all the while closing the gap between them. Even as she paused to observe her become quite immersed with a flower native to Diveen's borders.
