Disaster has struck!
He nodded vehemently in agreement as Yuki said that surely someone had to know how those wolves survived the sky falling. It had to be a legend for someone. "We just have to figure out who would know." He scowled thoughtfully, concentrating really hard on the older families. Heck, maybe his own parents could point him in the right direction! His family was pretty old, after all. He could even try Daenerys. Surely she could at least point him in the right direction. He trotted right along with Yuki, leaping to rocks and following in her wake. As she ushered him onto a path, he hopped right on and kept going, sure that she was taking him on some grand adventure while they talked. When he asked about the Angels, she laughed and said they were okay, saying they spoke their own language but it was more common now.
He pricked his ears and turned to her with wide eyes. "Their own language?! So cool! Do you know how to speak it? That would be awesome!" How cool would it be to know a new language? He could find some Angels and communicate with them! Maybe they would tell him more if he knew that secret language! Then she said that she didn't consider Angels to be that tough since they can't survive in the mountains. Eldrax couldn't help but laugh as his tail wagged. "No, I guess not. They probably can't climb rocks that well, either." He said with a playful wink as he hopped to the next one. When he brought up the Grotto, Yuki seemed intrigued, asking about the magical pools of water. He shrugged. "I don't know if it's true or not. Just something I heard in rumors." It sounded all mysterious and stuff so maybe it was just a ruse but wouldn't it be cool to find out for sure?
When she asked what kind of magic, he scowled thoughtfully for a minute. "Since the Grotto seems to attract the worse kind of Moladian, I would think dark magic. I've heard some wolves go into the Grotto and never come out." He shivered at the thought. He lifted a brow when he noticed that Yuki had slipped and fell. "You okay?" She seemed to be okay, getting up and continuing along the path so he tried not to bring too much attention to it. She seemed pretty embarassed, after all. When she said that the river came from Spirane, he nodded before he realized what she was saying. Stopping in his tracks, he turned back to her. "So we're going back to Spirane? What about the other older packs?" He scowled in disappointment as he looked up at her. She was trying to get him all excited, saying they would surely find the magical water in Spirane, but he continued to scowl suspiciously.
Then she asked him what path he was chosing for rank and he tilted his head for a moment. "Actually, I hadn't quite picked one. Nymeria said something about being able to do a little bit of everything and since I've learned about healing and some history, I thought that might work out. I know how to hunt already, though I'm not sure I want to spy or steal anyone. That doesn't seem nice." He frowned in distaste. Suddenly he grinned up at her. "Is there a title for an explorer? I would love to do more of that!"
