Perhaps Eira had picked a poor time to try and speak with her sister. It wasn't Badar's fault, nor was it their father's, nor even the younger male from Diveen. Her mis-matched eyes darted between family and neighbor as she watched with bated breath as Cassiel eventually made it across the harsh bridge with Badar. She wanted to help, but at this point, the brown and white girl felt more in the way than anything. A burden, almost.
But with everything going on, it was easy for her littermate to defer to Eden for much of everything that needed words. A small, somewhat dejected, smile flashed across her maw. No, she didn't need to be here, not right now. Let father handle this, and Eira would just slip away. That seemed best for the time being. After all, she added no value to this interaction. She felt that so much so that she did not even dare pipe up when introductions were made. Instead, she eased her way further back to quietly slip away as unnoticed as possible. She would find Badar later, when she had properly collected her thoughts. Hours, days, weeks. The amount of time didn't really matter. It had waited this long, it would wait just a little longer as Eira moved out of earshot and then out of sight.
