It would be cruel for this drama with Nyimara to create an even great rift between them than it already has. It was clear to Ysabel that Bjorn felt something special for the silver-haired mare. She would never win an argument with Bjorn about his beloved, but Ysabel could win this fight for herself. Bjorn didn't care that his precious mare's actions were hurting the rest of his herd, but Ysabel did. Nyimara has taken much of her sanity and the comfort she first had journeying through the sea with Bjorn for the first time. She has taken so much, even causing this unsightly change in her personality. It was time Ysabel took some action to make things right and change the course of the future where she was left alone and out of Bjorn's heart.

But she wouldn't allow herself to be ruled by a mare that treats her this way no matter what Bjorn feels for her. Ysabel would defeat her at all costs. Anyone could be their lead mare, but that one. She knew very well the time would come when Nyimara challenges the mares for rank and Ysabel would be there to stop her. Bjorn gets so angry at her words, but he does not understand her point of view. It was obvious his feelings for Nyimara were too great and that they may never have a real relationship because of this mare. Tainted was their love story.

Thankfully, he was able to turn off his frustrations for the newborn. Ysabel watches her foals play with a soft smile. Her ivory ears flicker as Bjorn speaks and her head nods. Nothing, but the best for her little boy. Her blue eyes meet Bjorn's gaze as the name of their son slips between his pale lips. "Askold." She repeats with a smile. "Sounds strong and unique. I like it." Her eyes fall to the red colt attempting to chase his dunalino sister on wobbly legs. The smile on Ysabel's lips broadens at the sight of her child happy and healthy. This was all that mattered.
