Sekhmet turned to gaze at Cuirass her pacing drawn to a halt. Still, the agitation rolled through her body like waves. A soft growl reverberated in her chest as she stalked towards him. Her teeth lashed out to nip at his ear. If she made purchase, her bite wouldn’t pierce the skin, just a pinch as if she were scolding her children. “Your company is welcome. No summons needed.” She chided him, even though she hadn’t called for him it didn’t mean that she wouldn’t appreciate his company. Lately, she had been distracted and though she couldn’t express the regret of not seeking him out sooner, perhaps he would understand.
Her features hardened for a moment as she recalled the cause of her frustration, “Reason to believe. The asp returned.” Turning from Cuirass back to the sea the fem snarled. Perhaps having a family and pack to protect had changed her views, at least in the sense of priority. While she once relished in chaos and destruction the fem was drawn to protect her own first and foremost. She settled on her haunches only gazing back at Cuirass for a moment before setting her eyes on the horizon. “Sit with me.” Perhaps not so much a request, but there was a softness to it more so than demand would have.
The fem had almost wished she had taught him, Kweku, and their children her exotic language. Perhaps she would explore it in the future, at least then she could better communicate with them. Her ears flicking back then forward once more, she spoke. “My family. I love them. I will protect them. Chaos. Will sway to me.” Her ears drew back in agitation perhaps only because she was unable to explain what she meant in the common tongue. All in all, she was determined not to be wrapped in the chaos that wasn’t of her on doing. Her face softened slightly as she turned her attention back to Cuirass before speaking once again. “You. Are very much family.” She wouldn’t permit him to question it or deny it. He was her friend but even more so she considered him to truly be family.Speaking Coptic.
