Good Evening Yvette
Your Great Uncle sadly falls in a difficult area of research due to his inter war service dates. Searchable on line Service Records relate in the main to those who served during WWI. I have however checked his name against the WWI Medal Rolls held by the National Archives and the Medal Card Index held by Ancestry.com. His name appears on neither. I have also searched his name on the Forces War Records Web Site and only two individuals of that name are shown to have served in the Lancashire Fusiliers. Neither of them are him their Regimental Numbers being 7346 and 202226. Their entries relate to 1914 and 1918 respectively. The Regimental Number you give for your Great Uncle does not exist in the format given ie 4,182.802. If that is indeed his number it would be recorded as 4182802. I can find no record of such a Regimental Number.
You refer in your post " but on the records it says ".... what records are you referring to?
Service Records for post 1920 Service Personnel are not available on line and are not retained locally. In order to obtain further information you would have to make a personal application to the Historical Disclosures Office at the Army Records in Glasgow. Please click on the link below and follow the guidance given.
In view of the above I am unable to assist further on this occasion.
