News - 6/19/21
Summer is here and Fall is short around the corner. There is unrest as it stands but, perhaps it is to our advantage. Let no one question our strength. Those who wish to speak on rank, seek me out. If anyone wishes to put a hunt together inform me. Adults or others who wish to rise in rank may seek me out.

Lamia wasn't entirely certain what to expect as she waited at the outskirts of Asteraia. The biggest question was who might approach her. She had vague recollections of the Pharaoh's dislike of her mother (and perhaps her father's decision to be with her even for a night). That anger may have passed in regard to the girl and her littermates, but towards Matianak, that was far more uncertain. A child should not be punished for the actions of their parent, right? Still, she waited patiently. Someone would have heard her call, and someone would come.

What did surprise her was who ended up there first. To see Kaliban was actually more of a relief. She may have only met him once, but he was willing to hear out friendship among siblings back then. His general posture and demeanor seemed to exude the same on his approach. Even better, she thought. That would make things easier, the chocolate hued girl thought. She even looked more related to Kaliban than she did Rangda. Even Amon looked more like he belonged here rather than there now that she thought about it. All the while, she observed the plains. It was one of the lessons she had taken to quite well, even for lack of significant attention from Matianak.

Still, a smile creased Lamia's maw when her brother greeted her. "A mother who prefers to keep her... assets close," she answered. There was a bit of discomfort in the statement. Indeed, Matianak had all but outright denied them going outside Glorall on most occasions, and her mother very rarely let them out of her sight. It was like she always knew what they were up to and they certainly weren't going anywhere without mother knowing about it.

She was prepared to continue, but a different figure had come into view. Creeping at first. No... Stalking was the more accurate term until the stranger realized who was here. Her kaleidoscopic eyes flashed with curiosity for a moment before there was recognition. What a family reunion this turned out to be! Lamia had vague memories of Nyteshade as well. They had not officially or properly met, but she knew who he was.

"Cousin indeed! I am surprised to see you in Asteraia of all places," she said with a wave of her tail. Her eyes flicked to Kaliban at the test of space. How many times had Rangda done something similar to her just to try and get a rise out of her? It didn't really matter, not now at least. "By extension, at least in a way by shared relations, even if not by blood. Don't you think?" To Lamia, that was the best possible answer in the moment. Then again, she thought to the first thing she had actually said to Kaliban. True, between the three of them they were all technically blood with Lamia being the connector between the two. "Then I do believe proper introductions are in order if we are all going to be here," she said. It was oddly proper of her, but Lamia enjoyed watching the flow of conversation. Ever the observer.

"Brother, this is my cousin Nyteshade. His father once ruled Iromar, if what my mother tells me is true," she indicated. Of course, she had no reason to believe her mother would lie about it. Matianak was many things, but did she ever really lie? Lamia pushed the thought away quickly. "And cousin, my brother Kaliban." She watched the two males, curious of their reactions to each other. With Kaliban here, she felt she would be more welcome with open arms. Nyteshade's presence, however, made for a great deal more curiosity and what might eventually happen with Moladion. If her cousin was back, was her uncle back as well?
