Alec

This takes me back to 1949 when I was a young Subaltern with 1LF serving at Knook Camp Warminster. I drew the short straw my Platoon was selected to test a series of newly designed boots for the infantry. To test them we had to route march about 15 plus miles per day for about a month. What joy coming back the Drums would meet us about half a mile from the camp and march us on through the camp gates. Great stuff for footsore members of the PBI.
