There was nothing threatening about the way this stallion looks at him. Argento smiles in a friendly way, his eyes were bright, and his posture told no bad tales. Cullen was not worried about the stallion fighting him now, but he was wary about the future. Argento knew things about the Lagoon from being a Boss himself. He was smart and there was no way Cullen could know the things going through his mind. He could be plotting to end his career despite their friendly chat. This is why the palomino mutt stays on guard whenever Argento was around. Until he felt the stallion pledge to him as others have, he could not relax.

His shoulders lower a bit when Argento says the fateful words he was waiting on. He was not here to reclaim his spot, but was that his real truth? The blanketed stallion could just be saying this to get his scent off his trail. Cullen responds with a nod to keep things rolling, but his mind was going wild with possibilities. He does state some very true facts that reflect on Cullen's ability to rule the Lagoon. This place was dead before his rule and after a few years of loneliness, Cullen had turned things around. "Perseverance I guess. I made myself available to every stallion I came across and offered my home as well as my protection."

He returns Argento's smile with one of his one. Though Cullen's was small, it was there. "What do you plan to do now that you have returned?" He asks this with great curiosity. Of course, he would need to know what Argento was up to returning to the islands.
