In her short time with Liland's herd, Monster had started to speak to the stallion and get to know him. In some ways, she could understand how Zjeena fell for the male. He held a quiet strength so unlike Rougaru's straight foward brawn and he was a charmer too. That didn't work on her but with Zjeena's sweet nature, Monster could see how she could fall for his spell. Then he hurt her and Monster would forever hold that against him. She laughed when Zjeena made a joke about her being her best chance to get in shape, saying the other donkeys couldn't stand up to her. Monster lifted her head proudly. "You got that right. Don't worry though, I've got your back." She said with a teasing wink. when Zjeena's face sobered, Monster could tell things were about to get a little more serious and she snorted softly and pricked her ears, letting the other mare know she was listening. She scowled sadly when Zjeena said how much she missed her children. How could that be for the best? How could anyone win in that situation? The children had to be as miserable as she was without their mother. Seeing the tears in Zjeena's eyes made her want to tears down Liland's borders and shove her hooves in his face. She gave a smile smile of gratitude when Zjeena said her and Rougaru were something to be thankful for. "I'm glad you're back too, doll, but I hate that you've had to lose so much to be here. Some day, we'll make it right." Her eyes narrowed a bit in determination. She didn't know exactly how she'd go about it just yet but something needed to be done.
