Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

samus
Love was something that never left. The bond that she shared with Sila ignored time and the space between them. She had heard of imprinting before, as all Moladion wolves did, but once she'd found Sila she simply had stopped caring about all that. Her soul felt whole in the presence of her little firefly, and the times that they'd shared together were the happy places she always returned to in dreams. Samus felt dizzy enough from falling, her dark eyes blinking in the bright sun, but seeing Sila again was a rush that left her lightheaded and dreamy. She watched her for a moment, seeming to come to the realization that Samus was really there, and the toothy grin was mirrored in both faces.

Samus let out a small bark of surprise as Sila jumped on her, and it quickly turned into a laugh, as she moved her nose to nuzzle and kiss every part of her that she could possibly reach. It felt right again, that nasty guilty feeling that she'd been carrying had disappeared. She was in love, under the big blue sky, in the wildflowers again. Here, with Sila and hearing nothing but her heartbeat. Samus breathed out a shaky breath before inhaling, her nose full of her most favorite scent, whining lowly when Sila pulled her head away. Her steely eyes were swimming with tears, surprised and happy and sorry tears, and Sila's words made them run down her cheeks even though she was still laughing.

"I never wanna try again! Sila, I missed ya so much." Still laughing, she barely tried to move away from the nip, Sila probably could have gone for her jugular and she wouldn't have reacted. It was like she was in a daze, or having the best high in the world. She craned her neck around the other's in an embrace, her long pink tongue and nose searching for any part of her to lick or kiss or nuzzle. If only she could kiss every hair to let Sila know just how missed she was. There weren't words to describe it. And there weren't words to describe how grateful she was to have chosen such a loving and beautiful woman as her mate, someone who had waited for her all this time.

Samus grinned, pulling back for a moment, resting her paws on Sila's back. "I am here. But damn, I think I might be the luckiest today, because outta the two of us, yer the real catch, here." The grin stretched wider. "I ain't need to see no more sights. Yer eyes are more beautiful than any distant land." Her voice sounded dreamy and soft, her drawl making it sound more like a song. The world around them might as well have not existed. "I love ya, Sila, an' I've been lookin' forward t' sayin' that."
