Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

Her cream colored ears flick backwards for the briefest of moments. The only visible sign of irritation as the dark beast mocked her beliefs. Excellent! Another one who simply thought the world consisted of what they could only see with their eyes. Auri was accustomed to these types of encounters, she had met very few souls that shared, or even understood, her beliefs. Unfortunately she had met a hundred souls like Blackthorne's and she will probably meet a few hundred more during her time on this plane. She tried to not let their ignorance frustrate her, in fact, she pitied their blindness and lack of faith.

He talks about her diminutive frame and she tilts her head to one-side questioningly. Was that an observation or a threat? There had been a few times in the past were more dominant wolves had tried to submit the nomad to their whim. Using their physical advantage to crush her and corner her into places she no longer wished to stay. Fortunately for Auri, she was spirited and persistent, eventually her captors saw the illogic of keeping a wolf in their midst that clearly didn't want to be there. Although she didn't take up too much space or food she was still a waste of resources, and luckily no alpha beast had decided to kill her to keep her ... Yet.

Blackthorne asks her for her name but it is at that moment they are joined by a third before she has time to offer it. Auri turns her purple gaze towards the white male as he emerges silently into the sunlight between the tree trunks. Of course she is not silly enough to take her attention away from Blackthorne completely, his black form was still securely in her peripheral vision. Both heavily scarred, white facing black, the two males were almost like inverted mirrors of one another. And they clearly knew each other.

At first, Auri found it difficult to get a read on Zephyer. His aura was a mix of blues and greens flecked with gold. But there was something darker there? A shadow perhaps? A memory of darker times? Something that clung, deeply ingrained, like a parasite. Something the white wolf struggled with on an almost daily basis? We all try to keep are heads above the water and it was harder for some than for others.

White versus black. All the pieces were in place for the next game. But Auri had no intentions of becoming a damsel in distress. She was not a prize to be fought over and claimed. She belonged to herself. She notices how Blackthorne has positioned himself between the newcomer and herself. Casually, Auri started to walk in a semi-circle, trying to maintain a roughly triangular shape between them all. She spoke as she moved, "Well my bro-" she corrected herself, "I mean gentlemen. Should I leave you to your business?" Her voice was calm and passive. Only the stiff muscles along her back and down her haunches gave any indication that she was prepared to bolt at any moment.
