ASK NO QUESTIONS AND YOU'LL GET NO LIES TURN THE CHEEK AND BLIND THE EYE

Warsaw. The name should have meant something to him but it did not. The irony was not lost on him that a stallion with the name warsaw was leading the charge. Although, the war being over woman did cause a frown to mar his face. It was not his place to judge the views of others but it did seem perplexing that the root cause could be over the standing of leadership.

The love of his life had been a feisty mare in her own right. She did as she pleased and was quick to snap if he did not give into her demands. Devil had loved her enough to turn a blind eye and bequeath her whatever her heart desired but it could be taxing. Perhaps there was more to the story? It seemed that the stallion before him only had one piece of the puzzle.

A stallion with no stake in the war? No interest in joining? That is something new

"Cain, I-" the gray stallion wasn't able to continue as another bounded into view. Amused gold and onyx eyes locked onto the gray colt, an eyebrow lifting in response to the energy vibrating from his frame. The colt's declaration of knowing him causes Devil to take a step forth in interest and for his nostrils to flare as he takes in a deep breath. Something is familiar about the boy but nothing sparks in his mind.

The next sentence causes Devil to freeze in shock. Grandfather? He had a grandson? When? Where? How? He had thought Cobra and their children had vanished when he did. Now it seemed his blood had survived and thrived without him. Ironclad de Warsaw. Warsaw. The same stallion mentioned before At the thought, Devil tosses a look at the other stallion. Wariness returned to his frame and he took steps to place himself between Cain and Ironclad. Despite claims of wanting to stay out of the war, Devil would not put it past the stallion to attack his grandson.

"Warsaw? I do not recall Cobra naming either of our children Warsaw. What was his mother's name? Perhaps she was one of my mare's before I left these lands.

With each word, Devil angled his body until his whole frame was between the colt and Cain. He kept one orb on the stallion while also trying to pay attention to the boy. "I admit that I am shocked my blood has thrived since my departure. I am not the ideal grandfather but I would like the opportunity to know you Ironclad. Perhaps not out in the open where any of your sire's enemies could be lying in wait." He may be in his late prime but it did not mean Devil was stupid.

"Apologies Cain. My family comes first. You understand, I hope?" It really wasn't a question.
