Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Matianak mused quietly for a moment. It was always an interesting thing, to imagine what exactly went on in Blackthorne's mind. She had always found it enjoyable to push his buttons, especially as he wasn't afraid to push back. This was their way of sibling love, if you will. Of course, the woman also knew either of them would throw the other under a stampede of hooves if it meant their own survival was at stake. A notion she always respected, but preferred to avoid. It was more fun to cultivate chaos together rather than separately.

The grey female shrugged in response. Who indeed would take her as a queen? The sire of her children was a plausible choice, but even when she neared Asteraia, there was no mistake of certain scents. Kweku had chosen his, and she never expected it to be her. Nor even Asriel, she noted to herself. Her soul-bound bond grew weaker by the day. It wasn't him either. "They would have brought it upon themselves," she replied almost absently. Her thoughts had wandered only for that brief moment, but it did make her thing. Even if not queen of a pack, who would ever be so bold as not to just have Matianak, but keep her as well?

Matianak nodded slightly to Thorne's murmurs. Underidge was indeed the ghost that always seemed to linger. Their sire was most certainly liable to pop up when it suited him because it suited him. "Or the reverse, considering how fixated Umbra is on him. Either way, they are not here," she said. Her tone remained even. Indeed, Umbra was not here, nor had she been for some time. While she would quite enthusiastically put her fangs to her sister's throat, there was no reason to dwell on a wolf who had been absent for quite some time now. Matianak left it there though; she gave nothing more than a placid look to her half-brother to leave the subject of Underidge and Umbra be.

"Diveen is unnervingly quiet, but so are the rest. Small whispers of small things, but nothing of merit... yet," she said. Matianak gave an almost bored sigh at the mention of it all. This also made it clear to add one small thing, "Though their King does allow Eden's brood to move freely between borders if they choose to. They may be mostly grown now, but it makes one curious as to why." Let Blackthorne do with that little tidbit of information what he will. The shift in conversation was easy. Sadly, Mat had no answer for him when it came to Natiya. "If she is hidden within Moladion, then she remained there since her departure. There are few places to go without being noticed," she replied quite matter-of-factly. Indeed, the only places that came to the woman's mind were deep within the Grotto, high in the mountains of Spirane, or the island off Glorall's coast. Of the three, the last was most likely. A place to hideaway, and if no one searched there, no one would ever know unless they left their solitude.
