When she looked at him, he was glad to see reocognition in her eyes. Instantly, his own gaze lit up as he gave a grin when she said it was him. He laughed. "Yeah, it's me." He said with a twinkle in his eye. She wagged her tail as if truly happy to see him, so maybe she wasn't still upset or anything about him trying to trip her up back then and send her rolling down the hill. She said that she never forgot a face or a good race and he smirked before nodding. "It was a good race. Too bad I won though." He said with his best almost apologetic expression. Of course he didn't really think there was a winner of the race that day but he was going to milk it for as much as he could. Let her deny it. When she asked if he wanted to race again, he raised his head and grinned. "Dare? Oh, you're on." He trotted closer and marked a spot on the ground. "Starting line." Then he looked off into the distance, trying to pick a good landmark. Seeing a dry riverbed some yards away, he nudged his muzzle. "To that river bed is the finish line. Sound good?" Waiting for her response, he moved into postion, lowering his front end and lifting his back end as his butt and tail wiggled in readiness. Glancing over at her, he gave a small smirk. "I think you dropped something." He waited to see if she'd look right before he took off. "And go!" He yelled with a chuckle in his voice as he took off across the field, wondering if she'd be able to catch up. Yeah, he was a cheater. So sue him.
