Seph, who had climbed far further than any boy should reasonably have been able to achieve in so little time, peered down at the young man who burst from the front door of the warehouse with unabashed curiosity. At Luke's words, he leapt from the high point, teleporting to land with cat-like grace and silence nearby.
"Is that monkey your familiar? Why's he move his hands like that? What kinda ship are you makin'? Is it for you or someone else? How much's a ship cost? Expensive, huh?"
Seph crouched down, absently poking at some speck on the pavement - it might be an ant after all. He peeked up at Luke, squinting a little in the sunlight, and popped back up to standing. His familiar, abandoned high above, drifted down on his little wings to perch on Seph's shoulder. The tokay gecko blinked big gold eyes almost in unison with his bonded as their mutual focus stayed rooted firmly on the man.
"I'm Seph, I'm looking for my sister, her name's Parth. Have you seen her?"
