The road goes ever on

He reaches her with adrenaline coursing deep in his veins. Her voice draws him over like a bug to light, her energy shines in his eyes. He found Creed backed up against the tree with fear clear in her thoughts, but he prays he would be the thing that calms her. He prays he could be the one to save her and bring her home to safety. His muzzle reaches out for her as he looks her over for any wounds. He sighs with relief when he finds none and his eyes catch her gaze as she admits she was no fighter. "This world has enough fighters, Creed. It is mares like you that I have sworn to protect from the evil of this world. There needs to be more warmth and kindness that mares like you bring."

She asks if he was hurt and his eyes fall to his injured leg, but he shakes his head. "I will be fine." He peers behind her to the dark shadows and what may be hiding behind their reunion. There could be no wasted time and there was no time to talk. "I have to get you out of here Creed. Please, come home with me." Blue eyes search her dark brown eyes for her thoughts and reactions. Last time it seemed like she wanted to follow him home, but she was afraid of the water. On this night, the ocean was the only thing that could save her. Creed takes a step towards him, but suddenly she squeals in freight.

Roheryn's ears pinned tightly against his golden skull as Creed screams for him to watch himself. His body turns to see the attacker, but hooves meet his flesh before he could catch his first glance. He was too busy watching Creed's reaction to turn his attention where it was needed, but thankfully, something sparked in his black companion. His body is pushed back, but thankfully Creed's quick action causes the Mustang to miss his critical blow to Roheryn's throat. He was in shock for a few seconds as pain reminds him this attack was real. It was watching Creed's retaliation that brought him into action.

He was here to save her specifically, but she was saving him. Creed reminded him of what he was fighting for. Roheryn angles his body towards the blue roan enemy and lunges towards him on the opposite side of where Creed attacks. He aims his teeth at the stallion's shoulder. Creed was saying all the words for him so he didn't bother wasting his breath on this stallion. All his energy was focused on his attacks to show this stallion he was very unwelcome. He would not win whatever it was he was trying to accomplish here.
