PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

I'm Drop Dead Cynical

Two weanling foals was not what Adelheid had expected to come greet her at the border of the mighty peaks. HArd blue eyes flashed with hidden rage at the sight of the unattended youth and her pale lips peeled back into a snarl at the world around her. How the vulcans of the peek learned nothing?! True it had been years ago that she and Taika had been attacked, but the memory was still fresh in her mind. The sight of her friend slipping against the cliffs was not one easily shaken.

These two could barely digest grass and they were wandering all alone. Either the Peaks had become so safe no protection was needed, or their guard had grown careless. Ears flicked back and for a second she considered showing these foals the dangers of approaching strangers that had called into sky. But no, another face from her past reminded her of the hope always alive in the eyes of the young. Gritting her teeth further, the mare pulled one heavily feathered white hoof harshly against the stony ground in palpable frustration. Her illusions had been dashed from her, stolen in the dead of nights and murdered by the words of the adults around her. She could not be that villian to these young creatures, but nor did she have it in her fuel the flames of their dreams. That had been Taika. She had always been so much better than Adelheid had been.

Adelheid cooled her temper and held her head high, trying to calm herself to be able to speak in such a way she would not cause fear in the two that had approached. She glanced around, eyes and dark ears scanning everything in hopes their parents were at least nearby.

Foals…. her voice was forcibly calm, masking the hiss of the simmering steam she felt. I am Adelheid, I was once a warrior of this mountain, and I am a Daughter of The Peak. She lowered her head down to their level, attempting to make herself a little less intimidating. Where are your mothers? There was a way to get to the bottom of this. There was a way to learn what had happened to her beloved Peak.
