He watches her with a brow raised as she throws her temper tantrum. A smirk traces his lips as she presents her hindquarters to the sea; it is a hilarious display of defiance if he might say so. "Mock the gods. And I promise you that they will not return what they stole," he snorts as he watches her. "They are fickle and will toy with us if these choose to. So, I have found it wise not to bring their wrath down upon me," he says with a swish of his onyx tail across white splashed sides. There are times when he has brought their wrath down on him, but these were in moments when he had disobeyed the tug in his chest or the still small voice.
What are you doing away from the motherland? The words slip off her tongue with a curious tone, not one of venom she had just thrown at the gods. "I left shortly after my father died and the Norns called me to return to my birthplace," he nods as his glacial eyes remain without emotion, but his heart clenches in his chest at the thought of his father.
"How about you? What has brought you across the vast sea?" he asks with a tilt of his crown.
Anyone who washes up on these shores all have a unique tale to weave. Their stories all differ, some more dramatic than others, but all with their need to be told. He is curious of her story, the anger that boils beneath her surface and the defiance for the will of the gods. Whatever or whomever she has lost, they will turn up. This is the way of the Isles, they were all lost and one by one... they were found.
