Waubashene birds

The water is beginning to open up in spots in Georgian Bay, where there's a current. Good rafts of bufflehead and goldeneyes, and others, were visible from the Waubaushene government wharf where Highway 400 passes over Matchedash Bay. Take the Highway 12 exit off 400 and take Pine Street Coldwater Road (map linked). George Ray from Orillia was there when we were and he spotted a pair of Ring-necked Ducks.
Um ... be cautious with the map link. The first two times I tried, it led to open ocean off the coast of Nigeria ... Hope this new link takes you to Georgian Bay this time.
