I drove up to Warwick before Christmas to visit Don, He was in pretty good spirits although not happy with his situation. His son Paul and Dons dog were there also. Marion made upa snack basket of biscuits, chocolates fruit etc and I framed a photo of A97-213 and gave it to him. The significance of the photo was Don was the Captain of that Aircraft when we jettisoned our load and landed at Madang on the 22 Dec 1972 without the nose wheel. When we left Paul was going to take him and Dell out for lunch, Don desperately wanted a Maccas. I gave him the best regards from all the Boys including BillDeB , Bill M and Tony
