This is a great report and the first time I know of for a Hermit Thrush to survive the winter in Simcoe County. We have had a very open winter this year with only a few days below minus 20 degrees and no prolong cold snaps like other years. Does anyone else know of other bird species that have survived the winter? American Robins often are able to survive here all winter on berries so they do not count. Replies: There have been no replies.
