Hold on a second Bada.... Posted on March 17, 2020 at 11:35:57 AM by StraymarJA
Jai-alai is a lot different than most other sports, it's NOT a contact sport like soccer, football, basketball. Rare contact at all, plus if you focus on singles games, even better.
I see no reason for cancellation of tourney or the start of Magic City season. Now, I could see the possibility of limiting tourney (worst case) to a singles tournament, or limiting the start of Magic City season to just singles games (most games are already singles).
Besides Bada, if you've read any of Stu's posts, you would understand the precautions they are taking and how the jai-alai area is not close to the other casino areas.
Bada, if you own your own casino and jai-alai palace, then you can make the rules, but you shouldn't be dictating what another business must do.
The tourney could easily be viewed by thousands of spectators on-line, and betting on Magic City games can continue on-line (a high percentage of the handle already comes from on-line sources). Why would you want to impose laying off players who are relying on a paycheck if it isn't needed? Next thing Bada will want the garbage collectors to quit picking up our garbage......Bada - it ISN'T YOUR DECISION TO MAKE
If people are concerned about flying down there, drive a car....., if a few participants want to cancel, then I'm sure there are some Dania players that would easily want to fill those spots, or some other amateurs that didn't make the cut, WOW, a chance for an amateur to take on a Dania player with a national audience on YouTube, pretty cool huh?
Bada - quit trying to be so negative.....with safe practices, this tourney is EASILY DO-ABLE Replies:
