To be perfectly honest Rougaru had not actually expected the burned gray stallion and his mare to come to Paradise. It was clear that the stallion had been an alpha at some point, the grullo mare a member of his herd. Despite the painful burns that both had endured still the gray stallion had dared to stand up to the wolf in defense of his last claim to this earth. For that, he had gained at least an ounce of respect in Rougaru's eyes. He had been flippant with them, telling them that if they intended to die upon the beach the least they could do was move further up the shoreline so as not to stink up the entire beach. He had tossed his head and directed his next words to the stallion, advising him that if he intended to survive that they would both stand a better chance in recovering in Paradise where grazing was plentiful and fresh water cool even on the warmest of days. He had not exactly expected them to come. That is until he saw Koala grazing alone. A smug grin flashed across his lips. No doubt the gray stallion was nearby. It was good to see that they had decided to not linger any longer on the shores. Casually he navigates his muscular frame towards her, noting how quickly the scent of her estrus had disappeared. Brolga was quick to place his claim even if he had nothing to offer. No matter. "I see you decided to join us here. Good thing too, coyotes and wolves tend to wander those beaches after dark." he begins, pausing a moment to glance towards the thick copse of trees nearby. "If your wounds are still bothering you, there is a stand of Tawari trees not far beyond the hill there towards the eastern border. It staves off infection if you have any interest." he murmurs, thick tail flicking casually as he contented himself for the moment in idle chitter with newcomers.
