He did notice the way her coat had curls to it and the curiosity in him begged him to reach out his nose and see how the curls felt against his nose. He bet they were soft. Of course, that would be rude so he'd have to wait for that chance. She seemed as excited about a new playmate as he did, her back end wiggling as she pricked her ears and said both the cave and the water sounded like fun. Grinning, Akello straightened up and stomped his hoof. "Then we'll do both!" He said with finality. When he asked where she came from, she told him the Badlands and that she traveled here a lot until someone named Daciana could nurse her. He didn't understand why any mare couldn't just nurse anytime but then, he didn't know a lot about the world just yet.

Maybe there was some magic season or something? He could only nod. "I hope that happens soon, but that doesn't mean you can't still come over to play." He said with an impish smirk. Now that he found someone new to play with, he didn't want to give her up that easily. As she stepped closer, he grinned again and nodded to her question. "Of course! This way!" Taking off at a trot, he looked back to make sure she could keep up okay, changing his own pace as needed to stay with her. He showed her all the oases he knew of and all the cool pools of water where the fish liked to hang out. He invited her to play around and splash in the water with him for a little bit before taking her to the cave. As they got closer, he started talking in whispers, like it was a big secret or something. He wanted to add to the mystery of the place and as they peered into the darkness, he turned to her with a small smile. "Don't be scared. I'll protect you."
