just the will to fight can change us
When Apolloyon had asked Skyfire for the meaning of her name she had been more than happy to take him to one side and tell him the tale. He had seemed utterly engrossed by her stories, and by her herself. At first she had found the attention a little off-putting, but as they talked and each revealed a little piece of their soul at a time, it gradually began to feel more natural, like this was meant to be some how. Was this what love felt like? By the time she turned her attention back to Nissa she was gone. Skyfire felt sick to her stomach, she had basically dropped a potential new friend for a boy, how could she be so unthoughtful. She had bid Apolloyon a hasty goodbye, leaving with a promise that they would meet again soon. And Skyfire always kept her promises.
Her pelt was like a red flame flitting through the long grass as she bounded along, pausing every now and then to sniff the air to ensure that she was still following the correct path. Nissa's scent was still fresh amongst the stalks and shrubbery and was easy to follow. Even though she was running after her potential friend, her thoughts kept on straying back to her dark prince. Her heart fluttered like a baby bird every time she though of him or anytime something reminded her of him. She sighed and smiled proudly as she continued to sail through the grass. Really, how could anyone live here? She could barely see anything.
Soon she passed the boundary live of Asteria without scruples. Being young gave her freedom with diplomatic immunities, at least she hoped so. Besides, she was on an important mission, at least it was important to her. Her blue eyes eventually fall upon Nissa's grey from in the near distance. "Hey Nissa! Wait up!" She barked across the rolling grassland. It didn't occur to her that she may have just put her paws into trouble.
