PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

throughout countless reunions and goodbyes

I should have known, Coda thinks as she spins around at the sound of hooves scattering pebbles, only to find Solomon staring her down. I should have known not to make so much noise. Anger twists the stallion's face, and she instinctively takes a few steps back. Her own anger, however, flares to the surface at Solomon's words, loosening her tongue against her better judgement. "Steal from you?" she snaps, incredulous. "Is that what you call this? If anything, you're the thief here. I'm just taking back the freedom that was mine in the first place."

Perhaps she'd implied that she'd be willing to stay in his herd for a while in their last conversation, but if Solomon had interpreted it that way, that would be a him problem. She'd intended to say hello to Harley Quinn, true - and maybe she feels a little bit guilty for not doing so - but the opportunity to escape had been too good to miss, and she's sure Solomon has found other mares for his herd by now. Or maybe not, given that he came all the way to get her back. Then again, he seems like the type to do so out of pride anyway, even if he has other, less annoying mares in his herd.

Caution begins to temper her anger, however, as Coda considers her next options now that Solomon has found her. She can go all out and fight him for her freedom - but Solomon is bigger and stronger than she is, reducing her chances of winning, and he will likely be even more angry at her if she loses. If she goes back with him, however, she probably won't get another opportunity to escape in a long while.

All of this drops from her mind as one mare, then another, converge on her and Solomon with flattened ears and obvious hostility. Luckily for Coda, their aggression seem to be mainly directed at Solomon rather than her. Still, she remains wary. For a moment, she considers making a break for it while Solomon is distracted, but decides against it. These mares might just turn against her if she does something to attract their attention - like running away - and Coda is not used to the mountain terrain. She doubts she can outrun them. There is also the matter of the prickling sense of guilt and responsibility tugging at her heart. She has just barged into these mares' land, bringing an angry stallion with her. She at least owes them an explanation for her actions.

"I apologize for intruding on your land," she begins. "I was trying to escape from this stallion, who claimed me for his herd when I first arrived at these islands. He followed me here to get me back." With that, she falls silent again, eyeing the two mares warily. Both the black and the bay carry themselves like warriors. If she gets on their bad side, she'll have three strong horses angry at her - hardly a situation she wants to be in.
