Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

and tastes like sweet baby cow food

Soon enough, the Lagoon itself came into view, along with a spotted stallion. Marzipan was a bit surprised that there was only one by the Lagoon, but he had noticed several distinct scents in the general area, so he assumed the others all just happened to be wandering elsewhere. The Lagoon was a big place, after all. Still, he felt a bit bad for the stallion. Staying behind to eat while everyone else is off exploring wasn't exactly something he'd call fun.

The spotted stallion approached with a greeting and a confident smile, and a small flash of envy shot through him when Marzipan saw his eyes. Blue eyes! Why couldn't he have such an interesting eye color? He dismissed the feeling quickly. He didn't have any control over eye color, so there was no point in worrying about it. Besides, was this stallion shiny or golden like Marzipan? No. So Marzipan really didn't have anything to complain about.

"Yep! New to both the Lagoon and these islands," he replied cheerfully. Questions about the Lagoon flew to the tip of his tongue, and Marzipan had already opened his mouth to speak again before he remembered: introductions first. You could hardly form a friendship without knowing each others' names, after all. "I'm Marzipan. Have you lived here for long?"
