She could still remember the fear that coursed through her veins like it was yesterday. She remembers the fear in her mother's eyes as she watches helplessly as her daughter sinks in the wet sand. She would have died alone if mother hadn't of found her and instructed her to stop moving. As a filly she had no idea such a danger could occur, but now she was weary of where she stepped. It got worse every time it rained. She kept this anxiety to herself, but sometimes she wished she had someone to talk to about it. She used to talk to her mother after it happened, but now that she was gone there was no one else.

Thankfully, the Fjord stallion Liland had been there to help save her. It was his quick action that got Desirie in gear and saved her life. The result of that daring display from the Fjord is what created her sister Leilyn. The two had parented fine together, but her mother had never felt a love connection to the Fjord. He left with his herd soon after Leilyn was born to return to the land of snow he came from. She thinks deeply about all of this and doesn't notice the approaching stallion at her back. Her eyes were still glued to that spot in the sand when her nickers. Her body hoists upwards in surprise as her red ears lay back in reaction. She gasps, but as her body lands softly back on the sand, she turns to face the stallion.

He halts as her eyes meet his. He doesn't look threatening, but she was on someone else's land right now so she stays on guard. Slowly, he begins to walk closer until he stops near her with ears perked. Libra's ears lean back, but they were no longer pinned as he speaks. "Yes, thank you." She replies in a soft voice. It wasn't like she was about to tell a stranger her problems. She couldn't even bring herself to tell Bahadir or little Scorpio. "I used to live on this side of the island two years or so ago." Back when she was just a filly, not that she was that old now. Her posture adjusts as she thinks of what to say next to the stranger. He seemed kind enough to strike up a conversation with.

"Do you live here?" She asks curiously. He seems too nice to be the stallion her mother had described to her after they made their home in the Dunes. She said the mean stallion was thick-bodied and black and white. This male had more of her body shape and his coat was much different.
