I took my English Shepherd for a walk today in a remote area with no people. I decided to visit Bowles Alvar on the east side of Simcoe County to study alvar mosses and lichens. There were Wood Frogs, Spring Peepers and Western (Striped) Chorus Frogs in voice in the wetland pools in full daylight.
