I noticed many of the Geese were moving between the flooded field to rest and the surrounding corn stubble fields to feed. I initially found the Greater White-fronted Geese after seeing two "different" looking geese fly in from the corn stubble among a small flock of Canada Geese. Once they where mixed in with the hundreds of Canada Geese resting with their heads tucked in it was pretty difficult to pick them out unless they raised their necks.
It will be interesting to see how long this flooded field lasts. Most years its gone by mid-April. Looking forward to checking it out again this week to stay away from the weekend crowd. Not that there is even a difference between weekdays and weekends anymore? Replies: There have been no replies.
