Natiya's greeting was unexpected. Rather, the nature of her greeting was. Of course, Elohim did his best to act as if it did not completely catch him off guard to be greeted with such enthusiasm. In a way, he was flattered. Getting into Natiya's world had been a difficult thing, and he doubted many ever could, so it was only natural to feel flattered when one realized they'd successfully done so. Her enthusiasm had been met by his own, though his was much more internalized, far more subtle. Outwardly, he contained himself to a broad grin and a slow wave of his tail, more entertained by her display than his own.
Elohim liked to think he had at least a half-way decent understanding of Natiya, or at least enough to read her. Then again, she did not exactly conceal her thoughts all that much. Though she did not speak them, he found that her body language did much of the speaking for her. When he approached, she shrunk back, and in turn, he slowed in an effort to draw her back out of her shell. It seemed to work, and he could not help but sigh in relief. At least she did not hold back on her words, though he took the concealed blade in them graciously. After all, she had been right. He couldn't deny that.
He nodded as she called for him to follow. In truth, he was more than happy to conceal himself too. He doubted anybody on the mainland of the pack had ill-wishes towards him, but it would still be best to hide his whereabouts from time to time - and to hide hers, of course. It was one thing to have Natiya on the island and another thing to be friendly with her. If they were spotted together by the wrong wolf, a wolf with no understanding of the circumstances each had, then there would surely be conspiraces to squash out or curiosity neither of them wanted. In fact, whereas Natiya had been happy to simply conceal them behind some foliage, Elohim motioned her forward further - why not take a walk, at least? The island had a particular allure, and he wondered if she'd found anything of particular interest there after all her time alone.
"I'm responsible for Glorall," he said with a sharp nod, choosing not to play with his words or meaning as he often did. "Its future, at least. I never did want responsbility over it, but I can at least accept being responsible for choosing which path it takes." His brows furrowed, as if he had been confused by his own meaning. He hoped it made sense. He didn't want to be called an alpha, a leader, or anything of the sorts. He did not wish to make political choices, allies, enemies and all of those things. Yet, he could at least make a different kind of decision. Where would Glorall go? And who would it go with? Yes...He could do that. Surely, he could do that, right?
Natiya's fierceness distracted him from his thoughts, and he found himself glad. He straightened and looked into her face, his head tilted slightly as he too gazed up and down her, looking for injury or anything otherwise. Of course, he was relieved to find her unharmed, but the shift in her very aura had certainly put him a little on edge - with curiosity, of course. He could practically feel a prickle in his skin from the anticipation.
"I've kept your very being here a secret, so I'm confident I can keep this secret too," he said with a small grin and a raised brow. "Anything that lights up a fire like that inside you must be quite the news," because, of course, Elohim could not help himself and had to comment on the way she had straightened up. It suited her, he had to admit. Natiya, for all of her sins and faults, suited having a fire within her.
